The Hot Springs/Garland County Beautification Commission, your local Keep
Arkansas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful affiliate, is pleased to
announce that the date for Arbor Day for the upcoming year will be April 25,
2008.   The Arbor Day event in Hot Springs and Garland County was
established as a program to educate our young people on the importance of
trees, and by extension, the importance of the maintenance and care of our
environment, through the use of forestry-related educational activities,
demonstrations, displays and exhibits.

Over the past decade, we have reached over 6,000 students.  This year we
foresee the need for additional funding to provide greater educational value.
We are reaching out to you for assistance in purchasing the necessary
educational materials that the children and teachers will be using before,
during and after the April 25, 2008 Arbor Day program.  In appreciation of
your charitable contribution, we will recognize you on a large banner at the
event, and on Sponsors pages in the student activity book.

The Beautification Commission sincerely appreciates your support of Arbor
Day.  Please help us make Arbor Day 2008 a program that will instill a true
appreciation for trees and the environment in the minds of our young people.
