This exciting annual event showcases the artistic talent and creativity of area individuals, civic,
school and other groups using recycled, and/or reused items as the media for art. So, gather up
your materials and light your imagination, be a part of one of Hot Springs' most intriguing arts
community events. Prizes are awarded to winners in each of four different categories, plus a best
in show. Total prize money will be distributed according to the number of entries in each category
but a minimum of $200 will be awarded for “Best in Show!” (Judging will take place Saturday
morning.) Please read the Guidelines and Reminders (below), fill out your application, and mail it
today. Have fun!

You must be pre-registered to participate
Sculpture is to be made of recyclable material such as cans, bottles, scrap wood or
other items
Pieces may be painted & sculpture should be titled and include a list of artists and
materials used
There is no size limit but piece must be self-standing. If one person can move it, it
meets weight limits
Artists are responsible for delivering, setting up and removing their sculpture. Set-
up is Sat., May 10th between 8:30-9:30 a.m. Please remove by Sun, May 11th 5:00 pm
Remember that items will be OUTSIDE so pieces should be able to withstand weather
Parking is very limited so pieces must be dropped off, and your vehicle moved to
another area outside the immediate park area
Judging by popular vote will take place Saturday morning and winners will be announced
by 3:00pm and posted at the Welcome Tent
All artists are invited to display their work at Hot Springs Earth Day at the Convention Center
on May 18th.
Registration forms must be received in the office by May 1, 2008.
