Hot Springs/Garland County Beautification Commission

The purpose of the Hot Springs/Garland County Beautification Commission is
to promote public interest in the improvement and beautification of the
environment of the County of Garland and the City of Hot Springs, Arkansas,
and to generate grass-roots involvement and a sense of pride throughout the
    county.

The Beautification Commission consists of 11 city residents, 11 county
residents, a member at large and a representative from the Greater Hot
Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion
Commission and the Downtown Merchant's Association.  Both the city and
county have a liaison represented on the Commission.

This Commission began as a group of volunteers interested in beautifying Hot
Springs and Garland County.  Through ordinances by the city and the county,
the committee became a city/county commission in 1986.  Since then, the
Commission has received over a dozen awards, most recently from Keep
    Arkansas Beautiful.
